To mini-tub and notch the frame of the car I cut the inner fenderwells out with the plasma cutter. I then cut the outer wall of the frame away, leaving just the inner wall intact. Next, the floor where the fenderwells attach was clearanced inward approximately 2". Then the inner fenderwells were welded back in with small patch pieces to fill the gaps. The frame was strengthened to compensate for the material removal by tieing the cage downbars to the upper control arm crossmember.
